“Some days I pause and think about what might happen”. Daydreams is one of Lizzie’s ongoing projects incorporating a series of observational thoughts. These 30-second short films are made predominantly with stills, then composited and animated.
The latest daydream, Manhattan 4.33pm has been selected as a finalist in Raindance’s Welcome to the Extraordinary short film competition and nominated in the animation category at Rushes Soho Shorts 2011. It’s received many world-wide views having been featured on Filmmakers to Watch on Film News Briefs, The Huffington Post, Vimeo of the Week on The Sundance Channel.com and and Vimeo Staff Picks - and invited to play at a number of film festivals, including Berlin’s Short Film Festival and touring programme, and Boing Boing TV with Virgin American Airlines.
Daydreams have toured France with CineRail and the Britspotting programme in Berlin, and have featured on The Atlantic Magazine.

Extn.21 is a short film about one man’s desire to be heard. The film uses an innovative blend of atmospheric stop-frame animation, live action performance and digital effects to create a dark world of uncertain reality. The film won several awards, including a British Animation Award and a nomination for a British Independent Film Award. Broadcasts include: Channel 4 Television, Arte France/Germany, CBC Canada, Canal+ Poland and Universal Italy.

The Seawatchers

Film – 4 minutes 30 seconds.
The Seawatchers is a poetic, yet humorous story of a sailor lost in the waves and a woman waiting for him in a small house by the sea. Will the boat reach the coast safely? A richly textured, live action and animated film blending stop-frame worlds, CGI and live action. The film has played at film festivals including Clermont Ferrand, Krakow, Brest, Interfilm Berlin and Brief Encounters and it also screened at The National Gallery in London.
